Do my tickets guarantee boarding on a specific sailing?

Coronado ferry tickets are valid for the purchased route and may be used on any scheduled departure, subject to vessel capacity. Chula Vista ferry tickets are valid only for the date and departure time selected at purchase.

How early should I arrive before departure?

We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes prior to departure for standard sailings. During busy weekends, holidays, conferences, and major event release times, we suggest arriving earlier, as boarding is subject to vessel capacity and departures may fill quickly.

How do I buy ferry tickets?

Tickets may be purchased online, at ticket kiosks near boarding areas, or at the ticket booth located at Broadway Pier.

Are tickets one-way or round-trip?

All ferry tickets are currently sold as one-way fares. For round trip, purchase 2 one-way tickets.

Are ferries wheelchair accessible?

Coronado Ferries
These vessels and interior main decks are wheelchair accessible. Exterior top deck areas are not wheelchair accessible.

Chula Vista Ferry
These vessels are not ADA / wheelchair accessible.

Are service animals allowed?

Yes. Service animals are permitted onboard.

Are bicycles allowed onboard?

Yes. Bicycles are welcome onboard Coronado ferries at no additional charge, space permitting. Bicycle capacity is at the discretion of the captain on Chula Vista ferries.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes. Strollers are allowed onboard.

Can I bring luggage or large items?

Small personal items are permitted onboard. Space may be limited during busy departures.

Are restrooms available onboard?

Restrooms are not available onboard.

Is there indoor seating?

Interior and exterior seating are available.

Chula Vista Ferry
Partial open-air vessel; warm clothing recommended.

Is food or drink available onboard?

Food and beverage service is not currently available.

Do ferries operate in bad weather?

Ferry service may be delayed or adjusted due to weather or operational conditions. Please call (619) 234-4111 with any questions.

Is parking available at ferry terminals?

Paid parking may be available near ferry terminals. Availability varies by location. Please see our parking and directions page for more information.

Special Event: Concerts at The Rady Shell

In conjunction with the San Diego Symphony the last ferry will leave The Convention Center (5th Ave) terminal at 10:25pm following concerts at The Rady Shell on the following dates:
