Diana and Nguyen dated for nine years before Nguyen popped the question on Valentine’s Day while the two were vacationing in Cancun, Mexico. Both big kids at heart, the engagement was a complete surprise to Diana and the couple couldn’t wait to start planning.
They wanted a venue that showcased San Diego’s beauty so they toured several different restaurants and hotels near the water. But, once they stepped on board Flagship Cruises and Events‘ California Princess yacht, the couple knew they had to get married there. “We were very impressed with the classy yet casual vibe of the boat and thought the size was perfect. We also loved that Flagship was a full-service venue at a reasonable price. Plus, how cool is it to be married by a captain?!” said Diana.
Every detail was perfect on their big day.
The service was incredible, the food was delicious, the yacht’s décor complemented the couple’s theme effortlessly and the views couldn’t have been better. “One of my favorite things about the wedding (besides marrying my best friend) was having the San Diego bay as the backdrop. Having the Coronado Bridge in our wedding photos is so special to us and it really felt magical as we passed under the bridge,” said Diana.
The couple ended their night with a stunning sparkler send off. After all, what better way to end a day to remember than with a moment you’ll never forget?
